Jobs at Taipei American School
Safe Recruiting Practices
Taipei American School is committed to providing a safe, supportive environment where every student can thrive. Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility and is guided by the School’s Child Protection Policy, which aligns with the child protection laws of Taiwan and best practices from Taiwan and the United States. All TAS employees are mandated reporters, and all safeguarding concerns are treated with the utmost seriousness. As part of our commitment to student safety, TAS follows rigorous safer recruitment practices. All employees must complete comprehensive pre-employment screening, including criminal background checks and employment verification for all countries where they have resided for more than three months. Background checks are renewed every three years for returning employees. Safeguarding at TAS is supported through safe recruitment, ongoing staff training, secure campus procedures, regular policy review, and student education that encourages speaking up.
